Is there a group discount?Please email animecomja@gmail.com with your group details to see if you qualify.

Can I get a discount if I only come for some of the event?No. Our policy states that the price of admission does not change for any reason other than stated above.

Can any one else use my ticket or exhibitor badge?If any patron is caught using a badge or ticket that belongs to someone else, said badge or ticket will be confiscated, and the attendee will be asked to purchase their own badge or ticket or face eviction from AnimeCom.

Can I get pre-sold tickets for the event?Certainly! Pre-sold tickets will open a month before the date of the festival and will allow you to guarantee yourself admission in advance in the likely event that we reach our maximum attendance capacity plus at a discount. There is also an early-bird ticket that will go on in May also at a discount.

My outfit includes very little fabric. Can I wear?Most likely not. We do not encourage overly provactive dress at AnimeCom and try to maintain a certain level of decency for our attendees. Please mindful that there are children and parents at the festival. COSPLAY IS NOT CONSENT! We are very strict about this #1 rule.

What are the rules for cosplaying at AnimeCom?All attendees are encourage to cosplay, infact this event is dubbed a "Cosplay Recommended Event". You can also enter our cosplay contest the Jamaica Cosplay Championship. The complete rules for cosplay can be found on this Info page.

My cosplay outfit includes a weapon. Can I bring it?All props or ornamental weapons need to be completely harmless. Generally, if the prop can be harmlessly broken over the head of the person who brings it, it is generally acceptable. Any prop or weapon found to be potentially dangerous will be confiscated for the duration of the event. Specific exceptions may be made for the purposes of the cosplay competition only. Who runs AnimeCom?AnimeCom is run by a volunteer committee of young artists, animators, cosplayers, actors, dancers and pop-culture fans spearheaded by Jamaica Cosplay Club (JCC) and AnimeCon®️ Jamaica.

What is AnimeCom?AnimeCom is a contraction of the words "Anime" and "Comic". It is an annual multi-genre creative convention and entertainment festival for creators, fans, friends and family. The event is also more popularly known as AnimeCon and is hosted by Jamaica Cosplay Club (JCC) and AnimeCon®️.

Does AnimeCom have a forum or a place I can go to chat and ask questions about AnimeCom related material?No, we do not have an officially dedicated forum; however we do have a number of Facebook and WhatsApp groups where you are free to post about AnimeCom or pop-culture related things to your heart's content. They are Anime Daily & Jamaica Cosplay Club (JCC) (Facebook), Jamaica K-Pop Club (JMK-PC) & Jamaica Cosplay club (JCC) (WhatsApp)

When does AnimeCom happen?The first event a mini-con took place on the last weekend of July 2017. Subsequent events are held annually around the same time period. The 2022 con will be held on July 30 & 31 . There are plans to make it a 3-day weekend festival in the near future.

How does the application process works?First, you will be required complete the AnimeCom Exhibitor Application Form linked on the Exhibitor Page. Next, we will review your application and determine whether or not you would be a good fit for the event. If you are approved, we will send you an invoice and an Exhibitor Agreement within 48 hours. Exhibitor Agreement must be signed (digitally or manually) and returned to us along with payment as set out within the agreement before the date of the event. Booth space can only be confirmed upon receipt of payment and signed Exhibitor Agreement. We must have the Exhibitor Agreement signed and returned before you are able to set up. (Limited Booths are available so book yours NOW!)

What time is set-up and pull-down?You will receive an e-mail with all set-up and pull-down information one-two weeks prior to the date of AnimeCom.

Who is an Exhibitor?An exhibitor is an individual, association or entity that has the right to promote or advertise its products or services. An exhibitor's primary goal is to increase exposure but not to sell merchandise at the event. For example, an exhibitor conducts demonstrations, distributes samples, or sponsor events. The word Exhibitor may also be generalize to include both "vendors" and "exhibitors"

Who is a vendor?A vendor is one that is allowed to sell items such as, art, comics, food or merchandise at the event to our attendees offering a welcoming shopping experience.

How is payment made?We accept cash payments. We also accept wire transfers/bank transfers and Lynk payments. The banking information as well as the Lynk information will be mailed to you along with your invoice and Exhibitor Agreement.

What should I bring to AnimeCom as a vendor?AnimeCom is an event catering towards the entire family especially fans of anime/animation, comic, film, art (original or fan), superhero, video gaming, food, and all kinds of Japanese and popular cultures. For example, products falling under Japanese animation, art, comics, video games, toys, plushies, anime-figures, anime printed T-shirts, costumes, prints and props would do well at AnimeCom. So too will hand crafted Jewelery and other artistic items.
